According to a recent report by Omdia, Infineon’s market share grew to 21.3% in 2024, up from 17.8% in 2023, marking a significant year-over-year gain of 3.5 percentage points—the largest increase among all industry players. This achievement marks the first time Infineon has led the global microcontroller market.

In 2023, Infineon secured the top position in the automotive microcontroller segment, and in 2024, it extended its leadership to the entire microcontroller industry across all end markets. Omdia estimates that the total market value of global microcontroller sales in 2024 was $22.4 billion, a decline from $28.0 billion in 2023.
