Texas Instruments recently announced an expansion plan, according to the plan, Texas Instruments will invest 3.2 billion US dollars to build a new factory in Richardson, Texas and create up to 625 jobs for the local.
Texas Instruments did not provide much detail about the category of products produced in the new plant. According to industry sources, the new plant will be used to produce wafers for chips for personal electronics, automotive and industrial equipment. According to the plan, the new plant will begin construction in the fall of 2019 and will start operations in 2022.
To date, Texas Instruments has 15 manufacturing sites worldwide and numerous facilities, including Germany, China and Mexico.
