Recently, Intel officially announced a special version of the Core CPU, i9-9900KS. Compared to the current mainstream flagship i9-9900K, the i9-9900KS is still a 14nm process, Coffee Lake Refresh architecture, 8 cores and 16 threads, but its reference frequency is increased from 3.6GHz to 4.0GHz, while the turbo frequency acceleration is from a single core up to 5.0. GHz, increased to a full-core 5.0GHz.
It is still unclear how Intel has done this. Some insiders speculate that Intel may have chosen a better-quality chip with a new Turbo Boost algorithm.
At present, Intel has not announced the thermal design power, price, and time to market of the i9-9900KS.
