Mouser Electronics has announced a new solution to help designers solve EMI problems in automotive and industrial applications. The solution covers a wide range of Analog Devices and Coilcraft products.
The solution lists a variety of reference materials and corresponding electronic components to help designers achieve lower EMI with Analog Devices' Silent Switcher LT8640S/LT8643S/LT8650S synchronous buck regulators and Coilcraft's power inductors.
Analog Devices Silent Switcher LT8640S, LT8643S, and LT8650S synchronous buck regulators feature a second-generation Silent Switcher architecture that reduces EMI interference and uses bypass capacitors, ground planes, copper pillars, and other to optimize all fast current loops, and to ensure efficient operation at high switching frequencies. With a quiescent current of 2.5 μA and a 96% efficiency at 1 MHz, this 42V/6A regulator provides fast, clean and low overshoot switching edges for efficient operation and high dropout even at high switching frequencies Pressure ratio.
Coilcraft's power inductors are combined with the LT8640S, LT8643S and LT8650S regulators to further reduce EMI in high noise and harsh environments. The Coilcraft XFL5030 series of shielded power inductors have a 2.17mΩ flame-retardant ultra-low DC resistance. The XFL5030 device features up to 11.5A of excellent current handling, soft saturation, and a composite structure that minimizes audible noise for high frequency applications. The Coilcraft XEL6030 series of high current shielded power inductors feature ultra-low DC resistance and AC losses at high switching frequencies from 2 to 5 MHz. This series offers excellent current handling and soft saturation characteristics to withstand high current abrupt changes, providing an inductance range from 0.15 μH to 3.3 μH. Both the XFL5030 and XEL6030 series are AEC-Q200 Grade 1 automotive compliant and RoHS compliant and halogen free.
